1.
shuǐ （ xiè ） bù tong
水（泄）不通
Environment is very crowded, even water cannot flow out
sì zhōu de huán jìng bèi wéi dǔ dé fēi cháng yán mì，
lián shuǐ dōu bù néng shùn lì liú dòng chū qù。
四周的環境被圍堵得非常嚴密，連水都不能順利流動出去。
The surrounding environment is very tight containment, even water cannot flow out smoothly.
xíng róng huán jìng fēi cháng yōng jǐ huò jiàn
zhù wù bèi rén qún bāo wéi。
形容環境非常擁擠或建築物被人群包圍。
Describe the environment is very crowded or building surrounded by the crowd.
bǎi huò gōng sī jǔ xíng yì nián yí dù dà jiǎn jià， gù kè bǎ gōng sī wéi rào dé shuǐ xiè bù tōng。
百貨公司舉行一年一度大減價，顧客把公司圍繞得水泄不通。

（舉）止大方
Every move is extraordinary, attitudes calm, generous, non-ordinary people can be compared.
yì jǔ yí dòng dōu cóng róng zì rán duān zhuāng bù sú。
一舉一動都從容自然，端莊不俗。
Every movement naturally calm, dignified and impressive.
sū shān xiàng mào duān zhèng měi mào
jǔ zhǐ dà fāng ，shuō huà bù duō， cháng dài xiào róng。
蘇珊相貌端正美貌，舉止大方，說話不多，常帶笑容。
Susan looks correct beauty, generous manner, does not speak much, often with a smile.

yī （ xiè ） qiān li
一（瀉）千里
Falls water, poured rapidly downstream.
xíng róng jiāng hé shuǐ liú sù dù ，
bēn liú zhí xià， bù yī huì biàn liú dòng qiān li zhī yáo。
形容江河水流速度，奔流直下，不一會便流動千里之遙。
Describe the flow rate of rivers, flowing straight down, and soon it flows thousands of miles away.
cháng cháng yòng lái bǐ yù wén zhāng qì shì hěn dà， wén bǐ liú chàng bēn fàng 。
常常用來比喻文章氣勢很大，文筆流暢奔放。
Often used to mean a great momentum articles, writing fluency and imaginative.

yuán （xiāo） jiā jié
元（宵）佳節
Chinese traditional festivals, this day is called Lantern Festival
zhōng guó mín jiān chuán tǒng jié rì， zài nóng lì zhēng yuè shí wǔ yè jiān 。
中國民間傳統節日，在農曆正月十五夜間。
Chinese folk festivals in the Lunar New Year night.
cóng táng dài kāi shǐ， zhè yì tiān wǎn shang ，
yǒu guān shǎng huā dēng xún yóu 、yǒu rang mín zhòng
jìng cāi dēng mí jié mù。

jiǔ （xiāo） yún wài
九（霄）雲外
The highest point of the sky
xíng róng bǐ cǐ de jù lí yáo yuǎn dé wú yǐng
wú zōng， zài tiān jì jí gāo 、jí yuǎn de dì fang。
形容彼此的距離遙遠得無影無踪，在天際極高、極遠的地方。
Describe the distance between far without a trace, high in the sky, very far away.
tā bǎ wǒ men de zhōng gào pāo dào le jiǔ xiāo yún wài。
他把我們的忠告拋到了九霄雲外。
He put our advice thrown out the window.

chū rén （ tóu ） de
出人（頭）地
The unexpected success exceeded
shì yè chéng jiù chāo chū yì bān rén de biāo zhǔn，
gāo guò bié rén yì děng jí。
事業成就超出一般人的標準，高過別人一等級。
Career success beyond most people's standards, a level higher than the others.
wǒ xī wàng zì jǐ de nǚ ér jiāng lái néng
chū rén tóu de 。zào fú shè huì。
我希望自己的女兒將來能出人頭地，造福社會。
I hope my daughter will be able to succeed for the benefit of society.
7.
bù shēng bù （ xiǎng ）
不聲不（響）
Do not speak, do not say anything to remain silent
zài mǒu qíng kuàng xià ，shuō huà de biǎo qíng，
méi yǒu zài wài zài háng dòng biǎo lù chū lái 。
在某情況下，說話的表情，沒有在外在行動表露出來。
In certain circumstances, to speak of expression, did not show it out in action.
xíng róng dāng chǔ lǐ rèn hé shì qíng， dōu
bǎo chí chén zhuó tài du。
形容當處理任何事情，都保持沉着態度。
Described when dealing with any matter, remain calm attitude.
8.
bù gù yí qiè
不（顧）一切
Do things without regard to risk, stick with it
wèi le dá dào mù biāo， zhǐ bēn xiàng yí gè mù biāo，
bǎ yí qiè dōu pāo kāi bú gù le。
為了達到目標，只奔向一個目標，把一切都拋開不顧了。
In order to achieve the target, only toward a goal, regardless of everything aside.
suī rán zāo dào jiā rén fǎn duì ，tā hái shì
bú gù yí qiè qù tóu kǎo xiāo fáng yuán。
雖然遭到家人反對，他還是不顧一切去投考消防員。
Although his family was opposed, he was desperate to applying for firefighters.

bù shí dà tǐ
不識大（體）
Not from the overall, long-term perspective to deal with problems
chǔ lǐ nán tí， bù dǒng dé cóng guān jiàn
diǎn zhuó yǎn ，bù kǎo lǜ zhěng tǐ de hé cháng yuǎn de lì yì。
處理難題，不懂得從關鍵點着眼，不考慮整體的和長遠的利益。
Deal with problems; do not know the key points from the focus, not considering the overall and long-term interests.
dà tǐ： bù dǒng dé chǔ lǐ shì qíng de guān jiàn diǎn。
大體：不懂得處理事情的關鍵點。
Do not know how to deal with the critical point.

（wéi） miào （wéi） xiào
（惟）妙（惟）肖
Describing the portrait, with an air of realism, vivid.
xíng róng mó fǎng bié rén de wài mào ，
shēng dòng bī zhēn。
形容模仿別人的外貌，生動逼真。
Describe the imitation of someone else's appearance, vivid and lifelike.
zhè yì fú rén xiàng huà ，bà r tóng huó pō yǒu
qù de shén tài， huà dé wéi miào wéi xiào。
這一幅人像畫，把兒童活潑有趣的神態，畫得惟妙惟肖。
This is a portrait painting, children's fun and lively demeanor, painting vividly.
