shì mù yǐ dài
（拭）目以待
Wait one thing to achieve.
cā liàng yǎn jīng， děng dài shì shí de chū xiàn。
擦亮眼睛，等待事實的出現。
Keep eyes open, waiting for the facts appear.
yīn qiè qī dài zhe， mǒu zhǒng qíng kuàng jiāng huì chū xiàn。
殷切期待着，某種情況將會出現。
Sincerely look forward to, a situation will arise.

kǔ kǒu pó xīn
（苦）口婆心
Good words persuade
kěn qiè、 nài xīn， shàn yì de zài sān xiàng duì shǒu quàn jiě。
懇切、耐心，善意地再三向對手勸解。
Sincere、patient、good faith again and again to persuade the opponent.

ruò jí ruò lí
（若）即若離
Seems close, and sometimes does not seem close.
hǎo xiàng yǐ jīng kào jìn， yòu hǎo xiàng lí kāi le。
好像已經靠近，又好像離開了。
Seems to have close, it would seem to leave.
shuāng fāng hǎo xiàng bǐ cǐ bǎo chí jì yǒu lián jì，
qí shí bǐ cǐ yòu bǎo chí zhe de yí dìng jù lí。
雙方好像彼此保持既有聯繫，其實彼此又保持着的一定距離。

měi dāng kàn jiàn yǒu shí wù chū xiàn yǎn qián ，
kǒu xián hǎo xiàng jiāng yào liū chū zuǐ biān，
hěn xiǎng bǎ suǒ yǒu shí wù quán bù chī diào。
每當看見有食物出現眼前，口涎好像將要溜出嘴邊，很想把所有食物全部吃掉。

chén sī kǔ xiǎng， bú duàn xiǎng bàn fǎ jiě jué nán tí。
沉思苦想，不斷想辦法解決難題。
Meditation hard to constantly think of ways to solve problems.

yuān jiā lù zhǎi
（冤）家路窄
People, who do not want to meet with each other, but happen to meet.
suī rán duì fāng wèi zì jǐ jīng cháng dài lái kǔ nǎo，
dàn shì yòu shě bù dé gēn duì fāng fēn lí。
雖然對方為自己經常帶來苦惱，但是又捨不得跟對方分離。
