學習漢語拼音有6項基本步驟： 1.基本知識：包括對聲母、韻母和聲調的初步認識。 2.發音技巧：借助發音技巧提供的指引，反覆練習，並模仿日後教學影片的正確發音。 3.發音練習：反覆練習聲母和韻母的音韻，直到感覺自己的發音，達到成熟自然。 4.音節組合： （ａ）雖然音節組合裏，有第一聲、第二聲、第三聲和第四聲，但是，要特別留意的是：部份音節，並非四個音節都齊全。 （ｂ）音節對應的漢字，能有效幫助朋友們比較容易記憶讀音。 5.拼讀練習： （ａ）學會了個別的聲母或韻母的發音以後，再練習聲母和韻母的亙相拼讀音韻。這就是目前朋友們學習的普通話聲韻組合。 （ｂ）不過，這是比較簡單的組合，在以後的日子裏，再學習比較複習的音節，難度會逐漸提高。 （ｃ）除了雙音節詞語之外，筆者日後會向讀者介紹一些有趣的口語材料，例如：順口溜。 6.認識音變：對於那些願意學說比較標準普通話的朋友們，這一部份的學習是非常重要，因為忽略輕聲音韻的學習，很難說出標準的普通話。
