普通話除了有一批固定的詞彙，必須使用輕柔聲調讀出及因語法結構必須讀輕柔聲調之外。普通話還有相當一批數量的常用口語，也習慣用輕柔聲調讀出。

2各式各樣【gè shì gè yàng】 Variety	1百貨公司的貨品，各式各樣的東西，一應俱全。 bǎi huò gōng sī de huò pǐn，gè shì gè yàng de dōng xī，yì yīng jù quán。 Department stores, a variety of things are readily available. 2這個人真各式各樣，跟誰都說不到一塊兒。 zhè gè rén zhēn gě shì gè yàng，gēn shuí dōu shuō bú dào yí kuài r。 This man is really a wide range with no one can live in harmony.
3小肚雞腸【xiǎo dù jī cháng】 Narrow tolerance analogy, consider only the trivial, does not take care of the overall situation.	1他是一個氣量狹小，只計較小事，不顧全大局的人。 tā shì yí gè qì liàng xiá xiǎo，zhǐ jì jiào xiǎo shì，bú gù quán dà jú de rén。 He is a petty, only care about trivial things, not the overall situation of the people.
